She was only sixteen when everything went down and, often times, felt like she could do nothing to help. Lorem will do anything to avoid that from happening again.

Lorem has seen a lot of terrible and amazing things when she first stumbled into the machinations of the Legacy War, both on Earth and in the stars, and she wants to prevent that from ever happening again. The devastation it wrought on everyone who was involved or, worse, not involved has been devastating and is still felt after years since the war’s official end.
It’s why Lorem is a hard worker, striving to accomplish NODICE’s goal in helping others, no matter where they are — She wants to make sure no one else will feel small and helpless and uncertain as younger her had felt back then. No one deserves that and so she’ll brave (and has braved) dangerous and terrible conditions to become a step closer to her goal.

The ability to silently summon a shield around herself and others thanks to the Galateion machinery that makes up the majority of her body, drawing the excess arc energy her body stores inside of her. It comes in the form of a pearlescent-like dome and is immune to most physical attacks like blows, shots, and so on. From personal experience, it has enough air to last an hour (if she's by herself) or half an hour (if more than one person is there). She's also able to make multiple shields for up to five people and expand a single shield to cover herself and three more people if they're close enough to her.
Notes: In order to keep her from breaking the game's setting upon regaining these, I'll be limiting the scope of her powers:
The shields will only be able to stay up for seven minutes, becoming less and less effective in deflecting damage over time. If it's destroyed before she can will the shield away, that causes Lorem to become exhausted and will result in her being unable to use her powers for rest of the day.
Lorem will also only be able to use her powers six times a day, with creating other shields + extending a shield to cover others counting as a use for each person. If she attempts to use it any more than that, she'll only exhaust herself by attempting to draw energy that her body does not have. This will cause her to fall into an immediate state similar to that of being under a severe stress fever, leaving her down for the count for a couple of days.
DIPLOMATIC SKILLS.
Originally joining the Lornful Light as nothing more but a mascot, Lorem has proven herself for the job after she begins to take her position seriously. Her work focused on building and maintaining interpersonal relationships with the crew members. This meant she spends a lot of time keeping the others from fighting and doing checks on the well-being of others if there's a need to intervene. In a sense, she was a morale officer for her friends and acquaintances with how she does her best to raise their spirits and see their well-being is taken care of. This skillset only improved when she returned to Earth to man NODICE's Department of Relations & Media, manning the department.
As a result, she's become adept in diplomacy and business management. She's learned how to not only smooth tensions between angry parties but also how to do write up field reports and read accounting documentation to see if there are any irregularities along with scheduling meetings and going over reports of her officers to highlight errors and fix them. Most of what she knows is from trial-and-error experiences, having been thrown into the position at the young age of eighteen and learning from others around her and from what not to do next time.
MEDICAL TRAINING.
Though not a certified doctor or emergency medical personnel, Lorem is capable of seeing someone's health if she needs to do so. Trained in basic trauma medicine, she knows how to do triage, disinfecting/patching up of wounds, and pediatric care along with other skills taught to her. She's trained in both medical services for humans and mechanoids, given her time on the Lornful Light.
She's also capable of measuring out medication and medicine with great accuracy, along with knowing which medications can help with fatigue, pain, ease, and what can be used as substitutes if those medicines are not around. It comes with the territory of looking after her own health over the years, needing to figure out how much medication she needs.

Where Lorem is from, students are given three commendations - it essentially an all-access pass to her education in a certain field if she had opted to go into college - and one of her commendations was home economics. She's talented in homemaking like sewing and mending and cooking, these talents improving while she was on the Lornful Light. (She really had to develop her last two skills, as she often had to make or repair her clothes and even she couldn't survive on bland rations forever.).
She also has a green thumb, having a fondness and willingness to do gardening thanks for her love of nature and flowers while growing up. She's been taking care of plants for her entire life and, as a result, is able to identify plants and flowers and their properties, be it culinary or medical properties.

WORLD HISTORY.
One of these planets is Galateon, a technorganic planet that hosts a race of mechanoid aliens who had so much potential within their grasp after they overthrew their colonisers, the Essentialists, who were taking advantage of their resources and all but bled them dry. Then an internal schism occurred amongst the revolutionaries, a series of tragic events leading to the Legacy War - An intergalactic conflict that would spill out of Galateon and into other planets. Over quadrillion lives and counting will be lost in this gruelling cycle of violence and war.
The Legacy War soon found its way to Earth and it becomes apparent that this will be where the final and decisive battles take place. Not only is it considered a 'jumping point' to other galaxies thanks to the Milky Way galaxy's location, but because of a discovery both factions learned about Earth: It had been experimented by the Essentialists centuries ago, seeded with experimental and invasive organic ores and chemicals native to the Galateon. Thanks to the ores successfully seeding with Earth's rich resources, a new version, better version of creathil - the important chemical/element for Galateions need to survive - was formed. Not only did creathil boost a Galateions' capabilities and prowess to unimaginable levels, but it also solved both the war of resources the Automatons and Dreadroids faced and, quite possibly, could solve the Galateions' resource crisis back home.
Both sides made camps there and tried to gather much of the creathil while continuing to fight each other in space or on Earth away from human eyes. Automatons did their best to not harm the environment and not alert the humans' of their presence, gathering what creathil deposits they could find during their careful searches. The Dreadroids had little to no regard for the humans who lived on Earth. They willingly pillaged and raided areas that were rich in creathil, even if it meant entering towns and cities with such swiftness and thoroughness, their actions were considered a force of nature itself and were simply known as 'the Ruining' whenever it came to the unfortunate souls.
More than six centuries would pass since the Legacy War's arrival to Earth. The year is now 2072 and while the Legacy War is considered over with the Automatons' victory, the repercussions for the war are still being felt. Galateon is still undergoing planet-forming processes to become habitable again. Earth is slowly emerging as a major player in intergalactic politics. Two new organisations begin to rise from the ashes of war: NODICE and the Order of Black Hollows. The Order of Black Hollows is dedicated to upholding the post-war Treaty of Pax Orbis and helping refugees find a home. NODICE is an independent organisation that focuses on rapid response and intergalactic emergency involving alien lifeforms on Earth.
ABBREIVATED PERSONAL HISTORY.
Though born into her strange brave world with a specific purpose in mind for the man who brought her to existence — to introduce a new hybrid species made from humans and Galateions, with her being the Chalice, as so tactfully called in Dr. Cladius Siegfred's notes and projections while drawing up his schemes of creating a new species to rule the universe — Lorem Laurel defied the expectations that were forced upon her through accidents and fortune.
She ended up taking her life into her own hands when she and her best friends — Laura Costol and Leeds Ascii — stumbled across the revelations that Earth was one of the final battlegrounds of the great and terrible Legacy War. By siding themselves with the Automatons after agreeing to help them out, Laura, Leeds, and Lorem found themselves learning a lot of truths about their worlds and own lives: Including the truth of what Dr. Siegfred had in store for Lorem, much to her hurt since she saw him as an uncle and considered him one of her guardians growing up. To say he was kicked to the curb would be mild, at best.
⚜️ THE LEGACY WAR & NEW FRONTIERS.
While they all ended up playing key roles in the final battles and missions they were involved in, contributing significantly to the Automatons’ victory over the Dreadroids with help of other humans and allies, Lorem was still reeling from learning the truth of her origins and from things that had happened over the last few years. From being forced to kill a friend of hers to save her town to said town ending up being seized and burned to the ground in one of the last calamity battles of the Legacy War, it was… not an easy time for Lorem and she felt like she had to reinvent herself or something.
That, along with other reasons (personal, mainly), is how she later ended up becoming the liaison for the Lornful Light, a ship full of Galateions who are hoping to find the Wandering Wonders to bring their world back from its then state of ruins. She ended up being accepting the offered position when she learned a prophecy the crew were chasing made mentions of events/circumstances that fit Lorem of all people, funnily enough. Seeing this could be a chance to change herself and do some more good, she agreed.
Though she struggled with the culture shock and expectations placed on her shoulders — with not only being the only sort of human there but also being the one expected to help stop fights and negotiate with future alien contact — she found her strive and, most importantly, uncovered her talents in diplomacy. It’s also here that she ended up falling in love with Radiance vis Noxolarium, the Sundered Star, captain of the Lornful Light, the two of them becoming closer over the years and becoming almost inseparable. Alas, the excitement of the Lornful Light did get the best of Lorem — that, and an attempted mutiny stressing her to the point of illness — had her stepping down from her post and getting offered a spot in her Laura and Leeds’ organization they had set up when they returned to Earth.
Before she left for Earth, Lorem and Radiance ended up getting married. (Or the equivalent of it back on his planet. She couldn’t be picky when it came to the ceremonies.)
⚜️ CURRENT TIMES.
Now she's the head of public relations and information management for NODICE, spearheading the efforts to bring more attention and influence to the organisation to the general public. Though her friendship with Laura and Leeds was initially rocky due to the time and distance, the three of them being thick as thieves again, allowing Lorem to become welcomed into NODICE’s tight-knight core group. She is the ‘face’ of the group, the one who always speaks in interviews or arranges meetings with other leaders and politicians to get on their good side.
