These are individuals who are either important in Lorem's life, important to the world's history or a mixture of both.

The flower symbol (🌼 ) denotes those Lorem knows personally. Some of these characters only meet Laura and Leeds during their time back on Earth, as they attempt to establish and run the Neutral Organisation Defences for Intergalactic Catastrophes and Emergencies. (Laura tried very hard to make it spell NODICE.)



VOIDTINI		 CERISE LAUDEVEILLE 🌼
A renowned cryptanalyst and linguist. Her (top secret) efforts during the Shadow Wars helped crack the languages of the Automons and Dreadroids. She is sharp, intelligent and possibly perpetually drunk due to her love of alcohol. A doting and protective mother, she only agreed to Project Cradle after two disastrous attempts to have children. She’s trying to make up for it by helping NODICE secure funding and supplies thanks to her impressive connections with the government and military.
NPC		 RICHARDS RELLINS 🌼
A member of the United Council of Countries’ Assistance in International Developments (UCCAID), Urban Search and Rescue. He was a respected member of TF Sigma due to his bravery and his levelheaded nature helping his team out of tight spots. He was a funny and charming man, doting on his daughter and trying his best to understand her choice to stay on Galateon. He was later killed when helping activate the warp device of a rogue Dreadroid’s warship to get it off Earth.


LARGESSE		 DR. RUBY CLAPTON 🌼
A disgraced surgeon after refusing to follow Project Cradle through and Dr. Sigfred using his connections to ruin her reputation, she found herself becoming the town doctor of Dust Tumbles. She thought her life was normal again - Until Cherry and Dickie came to town over fifteen years ago. Originally a reluctant guardian for Lorem and, later, her friends, Ruby finds herself caring for them and does whatever she can to aid NODICE. Perpetually tired and extremely salty at all times.
NPC		 DR. CALUDIUS SIGFRED 🌼
Believing both humans and Galateions were on the edge extinction following his time in the Interrogative Research Sector, he decided to create a hybrid race that would have best traits of both species - Even if he had to force Lorem’s body to carry the experimental reproductive systems and brainwash her with a series of deepest codings. When his plans were found out, he went hiding. Once a beloved uncle and appointed guardian, Lorem was hit hard by his betrayal.


NPC		 LOUISE PHILIPPE CHAMPOLLION 🌼
Stubborn, proud, and calculating - Some of the kinder ways to describe the French delegate for the United Council of Countries. He is ruthless and precise, having survived the Ruining of Paris and the subsequent death of his beloved wife Violette Rose. His only weakness is his family, daughters Cerise and Mazarine and granddaughter Lorem, and will do anything to make them happy or safe. Holds no love for any Galateion seeing as how their centuries old war has been brought to their planet.
NOCKBACK		 LAURA COSTOL 🌼
Track runner and archer, she’s always been a born leader and a decisive individual. It only makes sense she would be the leader of the trio when they were in the company of Pyrrhic Rege and the rest leading up the fateful decision to accompany the Automatons back to their planet. Having founded NODICE in response to the fallout of the Automatons and Dreadroids’ war hitting Earth, Laura does her best to keep the group running while dealing with the new world of politics and conspiracies.


PHOTOGRAPHIQUE		 LEEDS ASCII 🌼
Skittish and nervous, it’s a bit of a surprise to everyone - Leeds included - that he would want to hang around giant alien robots after discovering their existence. But his friends were curious and he cares for them so he jumped in, eyes open and nervously looking around. Just in case. Now mission control for NODICE, he helps coordinate the group when a crisis comes up and helps Laura with day-to-day management if the need arises. Always seen with a camera at hand to record history.
NPC		 AMBERLYN CEBIL 🌼
One of the few police officers found in Dust Tumbles due to its shrinking population and lack of funding in the town, he's done his best to be a good officer and a good person in general. It’s why he was immediately trusted by the trio when he was close to discovering the secret of the Automatons on his own, letting him in on the secret and having him join in the madness. He’s now part of NODICE, part of the response team in helping escort civilians out of danger zones and to evacuation points.


NPC		 OAKELY BIRCH 🌼
A stick in the mud at times, he means well even when he clings to rules and regulations since he just wants peace and order for Dust Tumbles. He’s the needed insistence to Amberlyn’s easy nature while Amberlyn helps him unwind more easily, making them the best of friends and partners in the DTPD. Opting to just stay a police officer despite an offer from Laura to join NODICE, Oakley helps them anyway he can. Mostly in the form of doing checks on the town’s supply of untapped decaydium/creathil.
COMPUTATING		 PROGRAM 404
A failed attempt by clandestine group to create a self-learning AI to outplan and outwit the Automatons and Dreadroids during the Shadow Wars, the sassy and flippant program is more interested in fooling around than live out their intended function just because someone says so. Having gained the program’s loyalty after freeing them from an underground bunker, Laura and Leeds’ question of ‘how do we obtain x information’ is now solved with 404. If they don’t mind breaking a few laws.


NPC		 SARALYN CEBIL 🌼
An old classmate of the trio and certified nurse, she returned to Dust Tumbles shortly after Laura and Leeds set up NODICE and became part of the medical staff. She’s an affable and friendly individual who gets along with everyone to the best of her abilities and can be best described as normal. Happily normal. Perhaps it’s not a surprise that she and Laura are now together following an awkward dance with each other, happily engaged after Saralyn saved Laura’s life when the woman got shot.
NPC		 MILLICIENT ESPERANZA
An ex-nun who pretends to be an actual nun, Mills is haunted by the things she’s done during the Shadow Wars. Though Laura and Leeds don’t know much of her involvement with the Interrogative Research Sector, they know enough that she needs their protection with how they did save her from an assassination attempt first time they met. Spends her time smoking, giving blessings, and handing out cryptic clues that helps save the day. How about you make the last one a regular thing, Mills.


NPC		 RODERIC ARCDON
Another who was involved with the Interrogative Research Sector, at least during its dying years, Roderic has seen enough shit that he got out. He’s officially retired and tries to pass time by helping raise rescue dogs with his husband Art. Too bad Laura and Leeds found out about his robotics engineering skills, more or less dragging the man into their activities if they need someone who has knowledge of technology and Galateon technology at that. Let him nap, please.
TUSO		 EPIONE DE LA REYES
There are those with questionable morals and there are those who happily shrug at the concept of morals. Eps is the latter, her phenomenal surgical skills only equal to her disregard for laws if it means making a quick buck. Laura and Leeds call her in if they can’t get Dr. Clapton or Saralyn involved. Leeds maybe wary but Laura is certain that there’s more to Eps, having seeing her perform an emergency surgery on Alias and not asking for money when she declared him stable.


NPC		 VICTORIA FAITH 🌼
The drifter was a bonafide genius, able to create groundbreaking machines from spare parts. Spare parts she took from Automatons and Dreadroids she killed, having developed a hatred for Galateions due to the Ruining of Amesbury. When Lorem discovered Victoria was making a bomb and planned to set it off in Dust Tumbles, she was forced to stop her and in the fight Victoria was killed. No one but Lorem knows of these events or Victoria’s existence; the woman still haunts her to this day.
